What is integrative health?
Integrative health seeks to understand the individual as a whole and applies many forms of therapy to improve wellness. Blending clinical modalities and complementary approaches such as nutrition, mindfulness, meditation/stress management, and sleep.
What is pelvic floor physical therapy?
PFPT is a specialty involving the eval and treatment of problems that are often related to the pelvis. This includes pelvic, sacroiliac, and low back pain, urinary problems, bowel problems and sexual problems. These conditions often include the involvement of the pelvic floor muscles, a group of muscles that from a bowl in the bottom of the pelvis that provide support and stability of the pelvis and spine.
Do I need a prescription to see you?
Washington is a Direct Access state for physical therapy. Patients are allowed to seek evaluation from a licensed physical therapist without a prescription or referral from a physician. However, if you plan on seeking reimbursement from insurance, your insurance provider may require a physician’s referral. Physical therapists must refer patients when symptoms or conditions are beyond the scope of practice.
What can I expect on my first visit?
After scheduling your first appointment, you will complete the initial intake paperwork. This will include a health and history questionnaire which will give you an opportunity to share your story with me. We will review your medical history, complete a comprehensive evaluation that will include functional movement and postural analysis, a specific exam based on your individual case which may include an internal pelvic floor examination performed intravaginally or intrarectally to see how your pelvic floor muscles are functioning. We will have a conversation about your goals for physical therapy, answer any questions you have, and develop a treatment plan that is evidence-based, holistic, and individualized to address your goals. This allows me to tailor your treatment to address the problems that are important to you.

Regence, Medicare, Cigna, and First Choice Health Network.
I strive to provide the highest quality care for my patients and see all my patients privately, one on one. At I accept payment prior to the appointment via my online scheduling software or at the time of service. You may be able to receive reimbursement from your insurance company based on your out-of-network benefits. I am happy to provide you with a superbill-that is an itemized document with the information that is needed to submit to your insurance company.
What is cash-based physical therapy?
In a cash-based treatment model, the physical therapist enters into a contract with the patient to provide physical therapy services in a manner that both parties have determined will help them reach treatment goals most efficiently. The patient pays at the time of service, allowing the therapist to focus on providing the best possible service while keeping administrative costs low. You may pay for services using cash, a check, or a credit/debit card. Documentation for evaluations, treatment visits, and progress notes are performed just like any physical therapy practice and comply with all legal requirements.
Can my insurance be billed for cash-based physical therapy services?
With the exception of Medicare, Medicaid, and some HMOs, most insurance companies will provide payment for services received "out of network." Going out of network means that you can choose to see a physical therapist who is not a participating provider with your insurance company. Many patients choose to receive services out of network in order to see the physical therapist of their choice.

Wellness visits are a cash-based service. Insurance does not pay for any service that focuses on working on fitness and health goals versus a particular problem or condition.
Do you offer complimentary phone consultation for Physical Therapy or Health Coaching?

I will ask you a few questions about why you are seeking physical therapy or health coaching or wellness services and what you know about the process, and how I will be able to help address these concerns.
What is a health coach?
A supportive mentor and wellness authority who helps others feel their best through individualized food and lifestyle changes that meet their unique needs and health goals. We all have unique nutrition, lifestyle, emotional and physical needs. Health coaches work with clients to help them discover how to fuel their bodies and guide them to live healthy lifestyles.
What is functional nutrition?
It is a branch of functional medicine that uses food, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations to support root cause healing.
How long are appointments?
The initial evaluation will last approximately 60-90 minutes depending on your case. Please have all your forms completed before the appointment; so it doesn’t take away from your evaluation and treatment time. Follow-up appointments can be scheduled for 30-60 minutes based on your treatment plan.
What is functional nutrition?
It is a branch of functional medicine that uses food, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations to support root cause healing.
